A major fire broke out this Wednesday, March 29, early morning in Novara (between Milano and Turino) Italy, at \u2018KEMI\u2019 chemical paint factory.<\/p>\n

The fire was rapidly controlled thanks to PROFOAM’s all purpose (Alcohol-Resistant) foam concentrates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Below is the interview with Mr. Attilio Morandi, General Manager of the PROFOAM plant, which appeared in several Italian newspapers<\/p>\n

\u201cSono stato tra i primi ad arrivare – racconta Attilio Morandi, proprietario della ditta Profoam. Alle sette e mezza leggevo il giornale, quando ho realizzato che la fabbrica vicino stava andando a fuoco. Sapendo che lavoravano con i solventi ero consapevole del fatto che non sarebbe stato possibile estinguere rapidamente l\u2019incendio impiegando solamente acqua. Per loro fortuna, la nostra azienda da molti anni produce una vasta gamma di liquidi schiumogeni antincendio, pertanto siamo stati in grado di fornire in tempi brevissimi lo schiumogeno pi\u00f9 appropriato.<\/p>\n

L\u2019incendio \u00e8 stato quindi domato grazie al pronto intervento dei Vigili del Fuoco ed alle prestazioni della schiuma antincendio di PROFOAM\u201d<\/p>\n

“I was among the first to attend – explains Attilio Morandi, General Manager of Profoam. At 07:30, I was reading the newspaper, when I realized that the nearby factory was on fire. Knowing they worked with solvents, the fire could not be knocked down with water. Luckily for them, our company, manufacturer of a wide range of fire-fighting foams<\/strong> for many years, was able to provide them with the appropriate foam concentrates at a very short time<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

The fire was knocked down thanks to the intervention of the Italian Fire Brigade, but also to the performance of PROFOAM foams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Fire at the KEMI chemical plant<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the industrial area of \u200b\u200bSan Pietro Mosezzo, at the gates of Novara, a very tall column of black smoke rose and explosions were heard on Wednesday March 29.<\/p>\n

Very early that morning, a black, smelly cloud rose in the sky and blanketed the city in black. The smoke, with flames fifty meters high, is visible throughout the hinterland to the neighboring province of Vercelli.<\/p>\n

The company concerned is Kemi Srl, which produces paints, industrial dyes and solvents.<\/p>\n

The whole area was evacuated to Casalgiate. This fire was probably caused by a solvent leak.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
